  • 50 whole Grade A vanilla beans
  • 3–4 liters food-grade alcohol (vodka or neutral spirit, 35–50% ABV)
  • Airtight glass jars or bottles

Instructions

  1. Split each vanilla bean lengthwise to expose the seeds.
  2. Cut beans into 2–3-inch pieces.
  3. Place all beans into clean glass jars.
  4. Pour alcohol over the beans until fully submerged.
  5. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place.
  6. Shake gently once per week.
  7. Let infuse for longer time for strong flavor.
